Two stories in the news recently about TWU. The first one is involves $3.3 million. The second is a story about yet one more way to pay for those rising university costs.
First story: the TWU Science department has made some recent changes with a new Dean whose focus has been on research and recruiting science students. But you have to the right infrastructure to do that well. Now TWU is building some world class research facilities.
Second story: Katelyn Anderson, a freshman student this fall has found an innovative business niche and is hoping to pay her fees with it. She makes some pretty cool jewelry out of old silver spoons. I first became aware of her work at Arts Alive which showcased 150 artists in Langley this past weekend. Now she’s in the newspaper. Well done, Katelyn!
